Frequently Asked Questions

Question: What are the building hours?
Answer: Monday through Friday 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am - 1:00 pm, closed on Sunday (with the exception of Petroleum Club brunch service). If you need lights after these hours, please sign the log at the Security Command Post. If you need air conditioning after these hours, please contact your Facilities Administrator within your company. (After-hour air conditioning requests must be made in advance, as such requests require a Building Engineer to administer. Due to the charges incurred, requests for after-hour air conditioning, must also be made in advance by your Facilities Admin.)

Question: How do I get in the building after hours?
Answer: You may enter the building after hours by using your access card at entry points on the Main Skybridge or Main at 7th Street. Your card is then required at the Security Console to gain access to your designated floor(s).

Question: If I work late at night, is there someone who can assist me in getting to my car?
Answer: Yes. Security is available to escort employees working late to their cars. Upon request, either by telephone at 817.321.1111, or by stopping by the Security Console located on the Concourse Level, a Security guard will be contacted and meet you there.

Question: I need to take a piece of equipment or box of items home with me. What is the procedure?
Answer: For your employers protection, you must obtain a Furniture and Equipment Pass from the Property Management Office and have it signed by both your Facilities Administrator and Property Management. Then, when leaving the building (either through normal exits or the loading dock) you will be asked by Security to present the signed pass before you are allowed to remove items from the building.

Question: If I lose my parking/building access card, how do I get a new one?
Answer: All requests for new or replacement cards must come through your designated Office or Facility Manager. All requests must be made using a card access form (obtained from the Property Management Office). New employee cards are issued at no charge. To replace a lost or missing card, your company will be billed a $15.00 replacement card fee. Due to the administration required, temporary cards will not be issued.

Question: Is smoking permitted in the building?
Answer: Carter Burgess Plaza is a smoke-free building. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the building. Smoking is not permitted within 20 feet of any entrance to the building. However, designated smoking areas are located in Garage A (via the main skybridge) on levels 5 and 6.
