Community Involvement

Crescent Real Estate Equities recognizes the importance of promoting healthy communities in which to live and work.
The heart of Crescent’s commitment to the community is FACES of Change®, a unique adopt-a-school program Crescent began in 1997. Through this program, Crescent properties are partnered with local elementary schools that serve at-risk students and families. FACES of Change partnerships bring Crescent employees, customers, and business partners together to provide volunteer time, financial and in-kind gifts to partner schools. Since its inception, FACES of Change has established more than 61 successful business-to-school partnerships that have impacted the lives of over 30,000 children nationwide.
Carter Burgess Plaza is a proud participant in FACES of Change and is currently in its second year of partnership with Bonnie Brae Elementary School. Bonnie Brae Elementary, home of the Knights, is part of the Fort Worth Independent School District and is located five miles northeast of Carter Burgess Plaza. Three hundred and twenty (320) students attend Blackshear Elementary in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 5th. The school is a Title 1 school with more than 90% of the students qualifying for the Federal Free/Reduced Lunch program.
